Turn In Concepts Wins Redline Time Attack on AST Dampers!

Turn In Concepts, a Subaru shop selling AST shocks, won the Street AWD class this weekend at Redline's visit to Autobahn Country Club. TiC's customer car had a blown shock from another shock company and replaced the set with a test set of AST 4100s which were over two years old. Needless to say, the ASTs aren't coming back off the car after this win! TiC will be competing in several Redline Events this year. We hope to meet up with them at Nashville.

Ian Stewart breaks Sebring Track Record on ASTs!

Don't tell Ian Stewart that it is hot outside, he doesn't care. Stewart set out to break the track record in NASA's TTC class running a 2:33.2 in 105 degree heat this past weekend. The previous record was 2:35.7. Ian wasn't happy with the record so the next morning he went out and ran a 2:32.1 beating the record by 3.6 seconds! Great job Ian!

If there was a track that required good dampers it is Sebring. Known as one of the bumpiest tracks in the U.S., Sebring has long been a torture test for race cars. Ian makes it look easy with this lap. Ride along with him here.

Ian is running the AST 5100 kit for the MINI Cooper. 5100s are single adjustable (rebound only) shocks. When we first started working with Ian, he wanted a high performance shock without the sky high prices of double and triple adjustable shocks. The 5100 was a perfect trade off in performance and value using competition level components in a single adjustable (non remote) shock. He's quoted as saying they work better than "any $7,000 shock I've driven on at less than half the price." Thanks again to Ian for showing off what a great driver on great shocks can do.
